Isaiah 14:12  “How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations

Teams were being chosen on the playground. The captains were decided and the selections began. But there was a problem. Everyone wanted to be on the same team. The other captain couldn’t convince anyone to be on his team. Soon it was evident that he couldn’t play because no one would be on his team.

Lucifer had been an angel of light but was cast out. He had wanted to reign on high but instead was brought very low. Yet he still has far too much say on what happens on earth. Every time we read bad news, every time we hear of violence, pain, broken relationships, we are faced with the fact that he is at work. We long for the day when he will be finally defeated and cast away, but sadly, that isn’t yet.

Is that it? Are we powerless and hopeless? No! We are not. God is at work in the world and He is conducting His work through people. He calls people to Himself. God’s people work to spread God’s message. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!

When I obey God in my own life, it is a defeat for the enemy. When I help spread the Gospel, it is an all-out assault on his kingdom!

Do I want to see the enemy defeated? It starts with my acceptance of the Gospel, then I begin sharing the Good News! There is no better way than to help people choose never to be on his team again!
